Oh my god it's already been three weeks since Tokyo

I didn't realize it'd been so long since I'd made a post on here!! I opened the blog and was like, what!! The last time I posted was about Tokyo?? That feels like forever ago. So this might be a bit of a long one. No shame in just scrolling through and looking at the pictures I won't be offended. Before getting to what I've been up to, I want to take a second for a little big-picture reflection. At the end of this week I'll be halfway through my time in Japan. When I first realized that, I felt kind of freaked out. Like, what have I even been doing?? But when I looked through my photos to choose which ones to share here, I realize that actually I've been doing a lot. Like a lot a lot. And in imagining going back home, I realize that this has already been an impactful experience. As when I went to Argentina and to Spain, I think most of the takeaways from being here will become clear in the weeks and months upon my return. For now, the goal is just to live. O...

New friend, Taizo-in, longweekend in Tokyo

It seems that it's already been a minute so I'm back. PSA that there should now be a little "Follow" button on the main page which some people were asking me how to do. I think if you just click that and put in your email you can get notified when I post things and also should be able to comment (though I think you should be able to comment anyway with a Google account even if you're not following). ANYWAY. Moving on. I went to Tokyo for the long weekend! Firstly though I met a new friend named Aiko who is half-Italian half-Japanese. She's in CASK which is a student group at Doshisha University (where the Stanford Center is located) dedicated to hanging out with us Stanford students and planning nice events for us! What the heck!
